The Naruto-Arena is an interactive game play site. This is unlike your traditional video game play where you have two players face off. This is more like a strategy combat game where each player takes his/her turn at delivering moves/damage! It is highly enjoyable, and a little addictive if the truth is to be told. (remember everything in moderation, and you can`t go wrong)

After logging into the arena and selecting start playing, you are directed to the arena where you can either select a ladder game or a private game. Ladder game: When signing up you are immediately entered on to a ladder of achievement, where as you progress in battle the higher you climb the ladder.

There are two ladder categories.

Ninja Ladder

This is the most important in the Naruto-Arena. It is International which everyone joins automatically when you start playing and shows each individual players skill in their quest to become Hokage.

Country Ladder

Every country that has at least 10 active players automatically competes in this ladder. If you want to know the most important factor on how this ladder is formed remember that this ladder looks at the top 10 players of every country. The number of players in a country minus the average ladder rank of the top 0 players is used to work out the countries points. (formula: amount of points = total players - average ladder rank)

Back to play; you will automatically be selected an opponent once in the Arena. The battle is a three vs. three match. Both you and your opponent select three characters to fight for you until one of the teams is defeated. Each of your characters has 100 health points at the start of the match. Your objective is to get your opponents characters health points to zero. To do this you will have to work tactics and strategies that will do damage to your opponents characters, and this is where the fun begins.

By means of chukra players can perform special moves individual to them, choosing the right player with right moves is essential to becoming Hokage. There are four different types of Chakra, and every skill uses a different set of Chakra.

(A chakra is a spinning vortex of energy created within ourselves. There are seven major Chakra arranged along the spine. Starting at the base of the spine and running vertically up the spine finishing at the top of the head.)

The main thing to remember when playing is its a team game and you will have to work well with the characters you select and get the most out of their special skills, and be aware of any weakness`s they may have. Selecting the right team is essential to your success. Happy Gaming Folks.

This overview is but the tip of the iceberg to what is an extremely well thought out game. The sheer number of members to this site(826,000 and normally around 3,000 on line at any one time) makes me think Google might be interested in this one.

Chris Spiller has just emerged on the gaming scene as a voice for the gaming fraternity. His blog http://narutogamingonline.blogspot.com/ is to be just one of a series of dedicated gamers blogs. http://narutogamingonline.blogspot.com/ followed by a Halo series blog and A tom clancy series blog.

Knowing that your favorite anime series is about to end is a lot like graduating from high school. It gives you mixed feelings - relief and despair. Relief because, if the author’s nice, all the loose ends will be tied and you’ll finally get your resolution and despair because you know that you’ll know that, come next week, you’ll no longer be sitting giddily in front of the TV waiting for your favorite show to air.

Rumors of the End

Recently, a lot of Naruto fans have been predicting that Naruto would end soon. And of course, it has created quite a racket among the Naruto fans because, really, who wants that anime to end? Sure, we all want to see if Naruto really does become Hokage, we all want to find out if Sasuke and Sakura get married, and we all want to see if Kakashi ever does take off his mask. But then again, Naruto has been with us for such a long time now - since 1999 for the manga and since 2002 for the anime. And Naruto’s almost like a friend now - a little brother. And tuning in every week to see what happens to him has become such a familiar routine that it’s hard to imagine a month without that knuckleheaded ninja that we all love.

This rumor - that Naruto would end soon - is still circulating even now as you read. The main question is - is it true? Frankly, I doubt it. There are just too many unresolved issues in Naruto right now that it doesn’t seem feasible that the anime would end soon. A good indication that the anime’s about to end is if the manga is nearing its end. And take it from an avid manga reader, Naruto’s just warming up. The first part of Naruto before the time skip was like an introduction of characters compared to the depth of Shippuden right now. All those issues in Naruto - the kyuubi, the Uchiha clan, the Akatsuki - they’re all being explored in Shippuden right now. They’re being dissected, and each day, we learn something new and the plot only gets deeper and deeper.

Part 1 was barely stroking the surface. There was more to the Kyuubi than met the eye. It wasn’t just a rampaging monster - the Kyuubi had ties to the Uchiha clan, Uchiha Madara to be exact. It seems that the Uchiha clan has more secrets that have yet to be revealed. There seems to be more to the Uchiha Clan’s massacre than we were led to believe. Also, there’s the appearance of the Rinnegan, the strongest doujutsu ever in the Naruto universe, and it is further complicated by the fact that it is the Akatsuki Leader who owns this eye technique. There’s also the matter of Kabutomaru - the combination of Orochimaru and Kabuto. Then there’s the whole matter of the root ANBU.

So, When Will Naruto End?

If you want an honest answer, then I’d say that I have no idea. Only Kishimoto can tell. It’s his story and he could end it tomorrow by killing off the characters with a comet if he so desired and we wouldn’t be able to do a thing about it. All we can do is speculate.

Really, there’s just too many things going on in Naruto right now that it doesn’t seem like it’s going to end any time soon - at least, not in the next few years. So, I suggest you start loving that blond-haired ninja right now because it looks like Naruto’s here to stay.

Few things in the anime, Naruto, can charge the atmosphere with as much as excitement and as much awe as when Kyuubi appears on screen. This rendition of the Japanese mythical creature, the Kitsune, is one of the most mysterious and interesting characters in the anime. The Kyuubi, as I’m sure most Naruto fans know, is the nine-tailed demon fox once ravaged Konoha and was sealed by the fourth Hokage inside the body of Uzumaki Naruto, the series’ main character. Naruto, for all his kindness, is often plagued by the Kyuubi’s efforts to tempt him with raw power. And, when Naruto is unable to contain his strong emotions, he becomes consumed by the Kyuubi, losing both his sanity and control in a bout of pure and unrestrained rage. Naruto does a 360, changing from the lovable prankster that we all love to a rampaging monster who, if he passes a certain point, can no longer distinguish friend from foe.

Kyuubi’s Origins

But where does the Kyuubi’s origin lie? Kishimoto-sensei certainly didn’t just pull this Kyuubi legend out of his hat. Indeed, the Kyuubi is based on the Japanese mythological creature called the Kitsune. Translated, Kitsune means ‘fox’. The fox, as portrayed in Japanese folklore, is a cunning creature, intelligent but mischievous. In fact, the Kitsune is often called a ‘trickster’ and incidentally, this is how Naruto is portrayed at the beginning of the story. The kitsune can transform into a human being, a skill it learns when it reaches a certain age, usually 100. However, it most commonly transforms into a beautiful woman, a seductress, much like ‘Naruko’, Naruto’s female form when he does his Oiroke no Jutsu.

The kitsune can have several tails, ranging from one to nine. The number of tails the kitsune has indicates its age, its wisdom, and its strength. In the anime, when Naruto succumbs to the Kyuubi’s temptation of power, his charka leaks out and forms like ‘tails’. The number of tails that grows out of Naruto, the stronger he becomes and the more he loses control of himself. So far, in both the manga and in Naruto Shippuden, we have only seen up to four of Naruto’s tails. At that point, he completely loses control of himself and he will begin to attack everyone - friend or foe. If he is not contained, or if the Kyuubi is not resealed and Naruto grows all nine tails of the Kyuubi, he will, in a sense, die, and the Kyuubi will once again be released to wreak havoc on the world.

Nine Tails

Thus, the Kyuubi, a nine-tailed fox, is a creature in its prime. Indeed, in the anime, the Kyuubi is said to be the strongest of the nine Bijuus scattered throughout the five countries. One swipe of its mighty tails can cause whole villages to crumble and tidal waves to form. In fact, it’s so powerful that it is regarded as a ‘natural disaster’ by the villagers and is often believed to be a force that comes when human beings become too evil and therefore need to be ‘purged’. The reason why Kishimoto chose the Kyuubi to become the strongest Bijuu is probably based on the Japanese legend of the 9 Bijuu, five of which are elemental Bijuu, one of them is Gaara’s Shukaku, the Bijuu of Wind. And of course, another one is the Kyuubi, the Bijuu of Fire, the strongest of all the tailed beasts. So that’s pretty much it. Hopefully this will give you some idea of where the Kyuubi comes from as well as some of the applications where the Kyuubi is being applied to inside the world of Naruto.

Everyone seems to want to want to learn how to draw Naruto, but who is this person?

Naruto is a popular Japanese anime character on the Cartoon Network. He’s a jumpy little ninja that is just trying to seek approval from hi town so he can become the next leader. Unfortunately some things from the past keep most of the villagers from liking him, but Naruto is on a quest to change that.

As a young ninja, ninja with good qualities, there is plenty reason for kids to be attracted to him and may even want to be like him. Well, now they can live through Naruto by drawing pictures of him on their notebooks and scrap paper.

Here’s the basic steps on how to draw Naruto:

First start by drawing a basic, round face. As with any cartoon, anime drawing, you want to use big circles to add the eyes, cheeks and chin.

The next step is to start doodling what will be the eyes. These should also be pretty big, as manga drawings tend to have big eyes and pupils.

Now add the ears on both sides of the face, and a small nose right in the center.

Add some facial features, such as lips and eyebrows, and you have a basic Naruto skeleton.

You might want to add some shading and shadows to include more detail and add some expression to his face by making some eyebrows and dimples. Once you have the basic frame for Naruto outlined, you can start filling in the details to make it actually look like the cartoon character.

Finish your drawing by watching this step-by-step video on how to draw Naruto and other anime characters.

Episode 1	“Homecoming”

Naruto Uzumaki returns to Konoha after a two-and-a-half-year training journey with Jiraiya. He is reintroduced to his peers, who have all advanced to Chunin rank and beyond, unlike Naruto who is still a Genin. Elsewhere, two members of Akatsuki head towards Sunagakure to capture Gaara, who has since become the Kazekage, the village leader.

Episode 2	“Akatsuki makes its move”

Jiraiya tells Kakashi Hatake that Akatsuki’s plan to collect the tailed beasts is underway. Because of the Demon Fox inside him, Naruto is in danger any time he leaves the village, so Jiraiya relinquishes Naruto’s training to Kakashi, who can ensure his safety. Kakashi gives Naruto and Sakura Haruno a test to see how far they have mproved. Meanwhile, the Akatsuki members Deidara and Sasori arrive at the entrance of the Sunagakure. They discover that Yura, their sleeper agent, has already cleared the guards.

Epsiode 3	“The Results of Training”

Kakashi challenges Naruto and Sakura with the bell test, in which they must forcefully take from Kakashi two jingle bells using whatever means necessary. Sakura and Naruto both demonstrate their newly acquired skills. At Sunagakure, Deidara reveals his ability to manipulate exploding clay. He takes to the skies aboard a giant clay bird and begins his aerial assault by lobbing exploding clay spiders onto the guards, instantly killing them. As soon as he makes it to the Kazekage building, however, he finds Gaara there waiting for him.

Episode 4	“Jinchuriki of the Sand”

Naruto and Sakura both realize that even though they have vastly improved, they are still no match for Kakashi’s superior techniques, as he too has become stronger, and decide to resort to more unconventional means. They win the challenge by threatening to spoil the ending of Kakashi’s new novel, forcing him to cover his ears and shut his eyes because of the Sharingan’s ability to read lips. Meanwhile, Deidara and Gaara begin their battle. Deidara finds a formidable challenge in Gaara’s abilities to control and manipulate sand.

Episode 5	“As the Kazekage…!”

Deidara sees that subduing the Kazekage is not as easy as he thought. He hurls exploding clay at Gaara to no effect, as Gaara can quickly summon a shield of sand around him with relative ease. Gaara then commands his sand to attack Deidara who has no choice but to try to evade. Gaara’s sand eventually catches up with Deidara and crushes his arm.

It’s always amazing to see how much people can get riled up over Naruto’s love life. Indeed, Naruto’s love life is the subject of many debates and flame wars in the internet. Either way, we can’t deny the fact that the whole ‘romance’ aspect of the anime makes it more interesting. And, since Naruto’s the main character he has to end up with someone, right?

There are two girls in the series who posses the possibility of ending up with Naruto. Unless, the author Kishimoto throws in a new female character onto the mix.

Haruno Sakura

Sakura is and has always been Naruto’s crush, even from the beginning of the series. Although she is Naruto’s teammate but she wasn’t not necessarily his friend at the beginning of team Kakashi. In fact, Sakura displayed a lot of hostility towards Naruto in the beginning of the series, owing perhaps to Naruto’s reputation as the academy’s ‘deadlast’. However, she warms up to him as the series progresses and starts to care for him as a friend. Sure, if you look at it this way, these two seem like they’re headed for the holy matrimony. Naruto’s the main male character and Sakura’s the main female character and they would probably end up together, right? Wrong. Things aren’t that simple.

Ir’a given fact that Naruto has a crush on Sakura, but Sakura is in love with Sasuke instead; Naruto’s direct rival. He is everything he is not since start. As a genius, Sasuke is also good looking, and powerful without even trying. Sasuke does not blatantly return her affections but there are little clues in the series where you’ll see that these two; Sakura and Sasuke definitely have something together. In fact, Sakura and Sasuke’s relationship is one of the most romantically developed in the anime what with the hug in the forest of death where it is only through Sakura’s hug that Sasuke, possessed by the cursed seal, comes to his senses. There’s also Sasuke’s acknowledgement that Sakura is one of his ‘precious persons’. And then there’s this huge matter of Sakura’s confession of love, true ‘I’ll-sacrifice-everything-for-you’ love. And though Sasuke knocked her out, he does leave her with a thank you which is enigmatic and poignant.

Until now, even with Sasuke’s defection, he is still the biggest hindrance to any possibility of Naruto and Sakura getting together since Sakura obviously still loves Sasuke and there are always these tiny clues that he might love her back. All it takes for them to get together is for Sasuke to finish with his goals and have time to ‘restore his clan’.

And though Sakura is warming up to Naruto, it mostly seems like friendship and not ‘romance’. Sakura loves Naruto but only as a friend it seems like moving forth even at Naruto Shippuden. All of Naruto’s advances seems to fail as Sakura rejected him softly without much emotion.

Hyuuga Hinata

Then there’s Hinata. Hinata is a shy girl who, unlike all the other academy girls, had a crush on Naruto since the very beginning. She never looked down on Naruto although she is way smarter then Naruto. On the contrary, the crush she has on Naruto is so huge that she faints whenever she’s on a close proximity to Naruto.

Unbeknownst to Naruto, she is one of the first people who have ever acknowledged him besides Sasuke. Hinata admires him for his courage, strength, determination, and confidence. These are qualities completely opposite of her that she lacks greatly of. Naruto inspires her to be more than she is and it always pushes Hinata to be a better person

Naruto and Hinata have their moments. The most important one is probably the ‘blood oath’. And all throughout the anime, Kishimoto inserts fluffy Naruhina scenes, especially in Shippuden. In my opinion, all it takes for them to get together is a confession of some sort such as Hinata finally gathering enough courage (which fits well with her theme) to walk up to Naruto and tell him she loves him.

My verdict: Naruto will probably end up with Hinata and Sasuke will end up with Sakura.

Believe it! An absurd blonde hair style and tattered orange clothing could signify only one thing: Naruto.

Naruto: Rise of Ninja is an Xbox 360 exclusive video game that features the eccentric Naruto. This game comes from the same video game company that was responsible for games like Prince of Persia, Splinter Cell, and Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon. Since the game takes numerous aspects from the television show, the plot in the game parallels the television show.

Gamers will have an opportunity to witness the Hidden Leaf Village and view scenery that is eerily reminiscent to the cartoon. The gameplay in this game is a combination of both role playing and action. Players will comprehend how to talk to other civilians, bolster attributes, buy equipment and accessories, and accomplish mission objectives. At the beginning of the game, Naruto is somewhat of an outcast. He wants to become a Hokage, but Naruto fails miserably.

In an effort to strengthen his self-esteem, he seeks to lend a helping hand to others in need of assistance. When you progress through the game, more and more pedestrians will admire your performance. There are two mission types in the game. One type is the core objectives that further the storyline, and the others are the optional side quests. The majority of the gameplay in the game entails platform jumping and fighting. Both the fighting and platform jumping elements in the game are done in a cohesive fashion. For instance, the combat emulates the Jutsu maneuvers that are prevalent in the cartoon. These techniques include summoning an attractive woman and cloning himself.

The techniques varies depending on the characters on the screen. The fight sequences range from the rudimentary button presses to some fairly intricate button combinations that require timing. Moreover, there certain attacks that can only be performed based on the distance of the foes and the situation. This game has a well rounded fighting scheme that is engrossing. The platform jumping segments in the game are also well balanced. Naruto: Rise of Ninja is a challenging game that does not treat gamers like they are a bunch of immature children. The game does have its arduous moments, but they can be easily overcome with perseverance.

I felt like the game developers were paying an homage to previous games in this same genre. In addition to the main gameplay, there are some mini games to play. For example, Naruto can partake in a racing mini game that tests his running ability. All of the skills that you will master is given at just the most opportune time. The game does a fantastic job of pacing you through the gameplay by keeping you interested throughout. There is the enormous gratification of defeating a boss and the disappointment of losing to an opponent.

Naruto: Rise of Ninja does not skimp on the amount of content either. This game should take approximately fifteen hours to finish from start to end. There is some online multiplayer that incorporates a Tournament mode, and it even tracks statistics for players via Xbox Live. However, the Xbox Live online support is not the true bulk of the game. The graphics in the game does an accurate job of representing the tone of the cartoon.

All of the architecture has a Japanese appearance to them, and the environments are representative of the television show. Cel-shading was used in this game as well as it was in games such as X-Men Legends and X-Men Legends 2. Gamers will actually feel like they are immersed in an episode of Naruto. It is just a breathe of fresh air to see something different from the typical next generation visuals the Xbox 360 has to offer. The audio in the game is about as grandiose as the graphics. You will hear all the characters from the cartoon reprising their roles in this game, and the music added some personality the gameplay. Overall, Naruto: Rise of Ninja might not necessarily be for everyone. Nevertheless, avid enthusiasts of Naruto will be entertained.

Final Verdict: Naruto: Rise of Ninja is a good game.

8 out of 10

There’s no denying that anime characters are incredibly cute, beautiful, and handsome. Disproportional their facial features and body builds may be, they’re still magnificently good looking. In fact, it’s probably these imperfections that turn them into such good looking things. There are even times when they’re even more perfected than people both in their physique and face. And because of this, they often become objects of our adoration. And since imitation is the best form of flattery, there are people who just love to imitate anime characters… even going so far as to dress up as one. Dressing up as an anime character is what we call cosplaying.

However, you can’t just cosplay any time you want because people would think you were crazy. There’s a time and place for everything and for cosplaying; in the US it’s usually done during an anime convention while in Japan there are pockets of people that does them regularly in various cities or special cosplay cafes.

The Costumes

As you probably noticed, anime characters are usually clothed with very weird outfits. They sometimes wear clothes that are virtually impossible to be made in real life; after all, they can afford this since they’re simply ink on paper. This poses as a primary challenge for all cosplayers. But somehow, people are resourceful and they can always manage. Even the most complex of costumes can be duplicated by the means of some cardboard and some fabrics. Some cosplayers are so good that they’ve even managed to dress up as a real human robot from ‘transformers’ and is able to transform from a robot to a car. That must have taken a lot of time, effort, and brains.

Some of the more popular subjects for cosplay are the Naruto as well as the Naruto Shippuden characters. In every cosplay convention, there will always be people dressing up as the Naruto characters, even the minor ones. There’s an especially large number of Akatsuki Cosplayers because those black cloaks with red clouds are incredibly easy to make and to wear.

The Look

The costumes are a breeze as compared to emulating an anime character’s look. You’re lucky if the one you’re cospaying as looks like a normal human being. But try copying those anime characters that have out of this world hair and inhuman skin! Just imagine trying to cosplay as Freeza or Cell from Dragon Ball Z! The anime look is incredibly hard to pull off.

And to top it all off, you need to be relatively good looking yourself if you don’t want to be a laughing stock. It also helps if you’re of Asian descent because Asians are naturally better at cosplaying anime characters, even those anime characters who are supposed to be European.

The Attitude

Emulating a characters attitude is a huge plus when you’re in an anime convention. It adds to the overall feel if you’ve adopt the attitude of the character you’re cosplaying as well. Imagine cosplaying as Sasuke and acting like Naruto! That would be totally inappropriate. Just never take the assimilation of the character’s attitude too far or else you might just end up scaring people.

During cosplays, those who are able to emulate a character as accurate as possible are usually lauded with awards and praises. And there are several people who go to cosplays just to have their picture taken with other cosplayers, surprisingly? To the most of us yes it is, but then that’s the world of cosplaying.
